TLD accepts building materials in usable condition (something you would give a friend or neighbor). Please review our list of acceptable materials before making a donation.

Your donation keeps materials out of the landfill and helps communities rebuild.

  • Appliances - 5 years old or less
  • Cabinetry - kitchen/bath sets and singles
  • Doors
  • Garden Supplies
  • Flooring - ceramic, wood,
    new carpet and linoleum
  • Lighting and Ceiling Fans
  • Lumber, Plywood, & Moulding - over 4ft,
    no nails
  • Plumbing - toilets, sinks, tubs, radiators
  • Roofing - rolled roofing, shingles,
    gutters and downspouts
  • Tools
  • Windows - thermal pane

TLD does not accept paint*, hazardous materials or used carpeting. TLD staff has the right to refuse donations due to condition, safety or available warehouse space.

* Paint is collected at local landfills, remixed into 5 gallon buckets and  donated to TLD. Check your local landfill to see if they participate.

Schedule a Pick Up
To schedule a pick-up of your reusable building materials, please submit the form to the right, or call our Donations Department. The Loading Dock will contact you to schedule a pick up date.

The Loading Dock picks up materials Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 2:00pm. All items must be at street level and accessible.

You will receive a receipt at the time of your donation, and your tax-deductible letter will be issued after your donation is processed.
