Now that we are well into the computer
age, using e-mail, websites and listserves for
information exchange has become almost commonplace.
There are examples of good listserves currently being
operated and widely utilized, such as EPA's JRTNet
(Jobs Through Recycling Network), where market
development professionals can share ideas and answer
questions.
ReDO's Reuse Forum is a wonderful
opportunity to share ideas, questions, and
information! This on-line forum enables subscribers to
pose questions, and "converse" with other subscribers
who provide input or answers. Unlike other on-line
forums, however, the Reuse Forum is the only place
monitored by ReDO's expert staff and board to help get
answers to almost all of your questions about reuse.
The field of reuse is growing in many
new, exciting areas, such as building materials,
office equipment, recovered food, medical equipment
and others. The "nuts and bolts" of making reuse
happen in your community are often available only
through conversations with others who are also trying
to do it. The fact is that much of this information
has yet to be published and not otherwise available
anywhere. ReDO's Reuse Forum allows all those
interested in reuse to help each other make more reuse
happen faster. ReDO's board and staff will identify
common questions and begin organizing research to get
the answers you need. This way, we can be sure that
operators do not "reinvent the wheel" when starting
and expanding their reuse operation. Through the Reuse
Forum, we can learn about the day-to-day successes and
avoid the pitfalls experienced by other operations.
Only ReDO has the resources available to fill this
information gap in the reuse community.
Join the ReDO Reuse Forum today, and
take advantage of this valuable benefit. As part of
your annual membership qualified subscribers can
participate, "listen", or gain never before available
knowledge about their reuse area of interest!
Simply subscribe
online or print out and complete the membership form
and mail or fax it to ReDO—or you can contact the ReDO
office at 410/588-3625 or at
info@redo.org for more information. |
